How do I calculate missed Zakat?

To calculate missed Zakat, follow these steps:

1. Determine the missed years: Identify each Islamic year you missed paying Zakat.

2. Assess your wealth for each year: Estimate your Zakatable assets at the end of each missed year (cash, gold, silver, investments, business inventory, etc.).

3. Apply the Nisab threshold: If your wealth exceeded the Nisab (minimum amount of wealth) for that year, Zakat was due.

4. Calculate 2.5%: For each year where Zakat was due, calculate 2.5% of your total Zakatable assets.

5. Repeat for each year: Do this year by year, even if exact figures are estimates.

7. Add it all up: Sum the total amount of missed Zakat across all years.

8. Pay as soon as possible: Delayed Zakat remains a debt owed to Allah and should be paid promptly.
