Once again, it’s time to enjoy the warm company of friends and family over hearty iftar meals, and to spend evenings in prayer and remembrance.
However, the reality will be quite different for our vulnerable Muslim brothers and sisters in Canada who have little to nothing to break their fasts with as they spend their evenings wondering when they’ll be able to next put food on the table for their children.
Nearly 6 million will go hungry every night (Statistics Canada, 2021), but your donations, whether Zakat, Sadaqah, Fidya or Kaffara, will help ensure Muslims across Canada are able to worship without financial distress weighing them down.
Let’s ensure that Ramadan is a blessed and special occasion for all.
**Additional funds collected will be used to provide food to eligible beneficiaries throughout the year.**
